On July 22 Obama said "colossal Medicare fraud and waste"
Why not fix Medicare 1st!
Medicare (entire program) cost estimates. In
1967, the House Ways and Means Committee predicted that the new Medicare program, would cost about $12 billion in 1990. Actual
Medicare spending in 1990 was $110 billion—off by nearly a factor of 10. Maybe
we should fix Medicare's fraud and waste before adding millions of people.http://blog.heritage.org/2009/08/04/health-care-reform-cost-estimates-what-is-the-track-record/We're talking close to 1 Trillion with Health Care reform. In 10 years if we're off by a
factor of 10 that's $900 Billion a year.More Fuzzy math in Washington. We now hear the Senate bill will not cover the entire 46 Million- illegal immigrants, Young people that can
afford insurance and the 12 million that actually need insurance. In 10 years 25 million people will still be without health
insurance.

Now hear President Obama in his own words. He plans to kill all health insurance jobs.
Tort Reform This a topic every American would demand if they understood
how much it would save every American family. Tort Reform would drastically cut the cost of every insurance policy both
personal & business. It would drastically cut health, auto, business, medical malpractice insurance and others. Some
estimates put Health savings at 25% to 40%.Car insurance 25% to 30%. Medical Malpractice is where the big savings would
be. We're not a business friendly country and this would be pro-business, so it may never happen. It maybe put in for
Health some day, Maybe. It would clearly save every American family over $1500 a year or more. Tort Reform is a more humane system. If two similar industrial
accidents happened in the US and Canada, and both victims lost an arm, and were unable to work again, in Canada
a judge would award about $1 Million, salary with yearly increases for life & all medical bills paid. In the US the
victim would wait 6 to 15 years without income probably loose everything. After all the appeals are exhausted, years
later the victim is awarded $10 to $40 million. Canada's system is more humane. The victim is taken care of quickly and
it saves tens of millions of dollars. Defensive
medicineThe practice of ordering tests and procedures that aren't needed
to protect a doctor from the remote possibility of a lawsuit. Defensive medicine is estimated to cost a minimum of $100 Billion
a year and some claim over $200 Billion.Tort Reform would greatly eliminate this
practice.http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/07/30/AR2009073002816.html

Medicare Part D a boon for drug companies, House report saysYes, Health insurance companies and Drug companies make more money from Part D.On the 2nd page we read this. "Medicare Part D had come in nearly 40% lower than original estimates"
Why? It's a privatized program. It maybe the only federal program that's not over budget.http://articles.latimes.com/2008/jul/25/nation/na-medicare25?pg=1
